On November 5th, 2025, the NEOLAiA WP5 team held its second remote workshop for the Living Lab Hub, that aimed to move from theory to practice, building on the Hub’s activities since the end of 2024. One part of the workshop was led by Dominik Scherrer, a professional moderator with 18 years of experience working with NGOs, particularly in the diversity and inclusion field.
The session opened with an introduction by Anna Duberg and Hélène Legrand, highlighting the benefits of the Living Lab Hub for researchers: finding trusted partners, adding a European dimension to projects, sharing best practices, and participating in upcoming activities, including remote workshops in 2026 and 2027 and an on-site seminar in 2027.
A mock-up of the Living Lab Hub webpage was presented, organized into four sections: introduction, existing labs, activities and tools, and calls for action. Participants shared preliminary feedback on the design and potential for development.
The workshop also tested a matchmaking process inspired by a “speed dating” approach, allowing participants to exchange project ideas, resources, and potential collaborations. The exercise generated valuable insights and identified opportunities for synergies across research topics.
The workshop concluded with participant feedback on both the matchmaking process and the webpage. These insights will guide future developments of the Living Lab Hub, supporting continued collaboration and engagement in upcoming sessions.
