UNISA and EU-Funded Research: 2026 dataset update

February 11, 2026

The University of Salerno has released an updated version of its dataset on participation in European Union funded research projects for the 2021-2027 programming period. First introduced in July 2025, the dataset was designed to showcase the University’s growing role in international research collaboration and innovation. The new release builds on that initial effort with some updates.

The revised dataset now includes 54 EU-funded projects, seven more than in the previous version. While several new projects have been added, some of those included in the earlier release have since been completed. Currently, 36 projects are still ongoing, while 18 have already been successfully concluded. The projects span a wide range of programmes and research areas, reflecting UNISA’s extensive involvement in European research activities.

Although the number of changes is relatively small, the update plays an important role in tracking the evolution of the university’s international research projects and ensuring transparency in its participation in EU funding programmes.  The dataset continues to support key objectives, such as providing a clear overview of UNISA’s involvement in EU-funded projects and enabling analysis of international research collaboration. It also promotes open science and transparency.

Looking ahead, this updated version will form the basis for ongoing monitoring and can be expanded as new projects are launched throughout the 2021–2027 programming period.
