Strong Engagement at the NEOLAiA Workshop on Diversity & Inclusion Best Practices

Event | WP2 | WP3

February 20, 2026

On 19 February 2026, the online workshop “Sharing D&I Best Practices” was successfully held within the framework of Task 2.1 – Pedagogical Hub (WP2) in close collaboration with WP3 – Diversity & Inclusion, and was also recognised as a NEOlife event.

During the two-hour session, partner universities presented their Diversity & Inclusion best practices, showcasing concrete initiatives promoting equity, accessibility, participation, and inclusive community building across institutional contexts. The practices presented included gender mainstreaming projects, inclusive sexual-health outreach, disability support programmes, language services and multilingual festivals, peer tutoring initiatives, lifelong learning programmes for older adults, and queerfeminist community spaces.

Participation was highly active throughout the workshop. Each presentation was followed by a dedicated Q&A session, generating rich discussion and exchange among participants, reflecting a strong commitment to mutual learning across the alliance.

The interactive segment was conducted using Mentimeter, enabling participants to share real-time reflections, key insights, and action-oriented ideas, and fostering collaborative engagement beyond the formal presentations.

The event demonstrated effective cross–Work Package collaboration, linking pedagogical innovation (WP2) with Diversity & Inclusion best practices (WP3), and further strengthening the culture of shared learning within NEOLAiA.
