From 14 to 16 October 2025, the University of Nicosia (Cyprus) hosted the WP3 Face-to-Face Meeting, bringing together NEOLAiA delegates for three inspiring days of teamwork, creativity, and discussion. Led by Bielefeld University, the meeting focused on the progress of key Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) tasks.
Throughout the meeting:
- partners shared updates on Task 3.2 – D&I NEObest, with best practices already published in the NEOCharter and alliance database;
- the D&I NEOstaff and D&I NEOmentor training programmes were officially launched, targeting administrative staff and socially engaged students;
- the new D&I NEOad advisory structure was introduced to support all WPs in embedding inclusion principles;
- the roadmap “D&I in the Metaverse: Themes, Trends and Gaps” was presented under Task 3.7 – D&I NEOmeta, along with a hands-on demonstration of the UNIC Metaverse, an innovative virtual environment for learning and collaboration;
- plans were set for a joint NEOLAiA workshop (February 2026) within the Pedagogical Hub to further disseminate WP3’s achievements.
Delegates also took part in the Erasmus+ Info Day, visited the UNIC campus and outdoor amphitheatre, and engaged with the NEOLAiA information stand to share alliance updates with the university community.
The meeting closed with optimism and a renewed sense of purpose, reaffirming NEOLAiA’s commitment to building inclusion through collaboration and shared action.
