On 11 December, Prof. Teti delivered an online workshop entitled “Strategies for career development” for early stage researchers taking part in the ESR mentorship programme.
The workshop aimed to support young researchers in reflecting on their professional trajectories and in developing practical strategies for career. In particular, the seminar focused on two key areas.
First, Prof. Teti explored principles for navigating career development across multiple national and disciplinary academic contexts, with special attention to understanding and accessing research funding opportunities. Participants were encouraged to think strategically about mobility, interdisciplinarity, and long-term career planning.
Second, the workshop addressed integrated approaches to academic and professional writing. Prof. Teti discussed how researchers can adapt their writing to different audiences and stakeholders, covering a wide range of formats, from academic journal articles and policy reports to policy briefs and contributions for generalist media.
The seminar offered participants valuable insights and practical guidance, equipping them with tools to strengthen both their career development strategies and their communication skills as early stage researchers.
