From June 15 to 17, we had the pleasure of welcoming Anna Duberg and Maria Arnborg from Örebro University for a series of meetings aimed at strengthening collaboration within the NEOLAiA Alliance.
Over the course of three intense and productive days, we engaged in a wide range of discussions focused on ongoing and future collaborative opportunities across different thematic areas. A key topic was the exploration of future Living Lab initiatives related to Greenopoli, the project led by Professor Giovanni De Feo, which opened up interesting perspectives for further development and exchange.
We also discussed possible synergies with the Department of Political and Social Studies, involving Professor Maurizio Merico and Professor Daniela Bandelli. These exchanges highlighted promising opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly at the intersection of social and health sciences.
Another important area of discussion concerned technology transfer, with contributions from Professor Orlando Troisi and Decio Rinaldi. The meeting provided valuable insights into how research and innovation can be effectively translated into practical and societal impact, reinforcing the connection between academia and real-world applications.
Beyond the academic and project-related outcomes, these three days were also enriching on a human level. The informal exchanges and moments of interaction contributed to strengthening mutual understanding and trust, fully reflecting the spirit of NEOLAiA, which promotes not only academic collaboration but also meaningful interpersonal connections across its partner universities.
