On 4 December, the WP8 General Meeting of the NEOLAiA project was held at the University of Salerno, providing a strategic forum focused on Open Science and Citizen Science. The meeting, held as part of the NEOLAiA Plenary Meeting (2–4 December), brought together members of the alliance to review the progress achieved so far and to define priorities for the next phase of the project.
The meeting offered an opportunity to discuss the progress of data co-creation activities, the consolidation of Open Science infrastructures, and the sharing of experiences developed during the first years of the project. Significant attention was devoted to Citizen Science, with a collective reflection on participation, inclusion, skills, and the long-term sustainability of initiatives.
In this context, Padlet was used as a collaborative tool to facilitate dialogue among participants, collect contributions, and support a structured discussion on the key topics addressed. This interactive approach encouraged the exchange of ideas and the appreciation of diverse perspectives, strengthening the participatory dimension of the meeting.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the future vision of WP8, with particular emphasis on the shared commitment to open, collaborative, and interoperable research practices. The discussions highlighted a common ambition to position NEOLAiA as a reference model for integrating Open Science into the identity of European universities, laying solid foundations for the activities of the coming years.
