The NEOLAiA Scientific Communication group met online on October 23rd to shape its roadmap for the next two years. The team agreed on a simple but effective structure: three focused online meetings each year plus one in-person seminar bringing together all Expert Support teams.
The discussion highlighted several topics that will guide future work: how AI is reshaping scientific communication, how to help researchers make better use of social media, and how to write science in a way everyone can understand. Strengthening ties with local newspapers also emerged as a shared priority.
The group is now setting up practical tools to collaborate more smoothly: a Lunch Talk series for exchanging best practices, a shared Teams space for resources, and a more coordinated approach to communicating about the Open Research Hub. Partners will also start collecting success stories from across the Alliance to spotlight NEOLAiA’s research activities.
Next year’s meetings are already on the calendar, while the big in-person gathering is planned for October 2026 in Tours. The group is gearing up for a dynamic year ahead, with plenty of shared initiatives to boost visibility and collaboration across the Alliance.
