1. How would you describe your visiting experience at Örebro University as part of the ESR Mentorship Programme?
My visiting experience at Örebro University was extremely positive and inspiring. It gave me the opportunity to engage with an international academic environment, explore new approaches to research, and build connections with researchers and PhD candidates from different disciplines. The mentorship program fostered an ongoing exchange of ideas and allowed me to reflect on my research journey from new perspectives.
2. During your visit, you attended a PhD thesis defence. What was that experience like, and what did you take away from it, considering it was outside your research field?
Attending a PhD thesis defense in a field different from my own was a highly enriching experience. Although it was not directly related to my research, it allowed me to observe the thoroughness of the evaluation process, the dynamics of academic debate, and the importance of critical thinking in discussing research findings. It was particularly interesting to see how different methodologies and approaches can offer valuable insights even across different academic disciplines.
3. Could you mention one aspect of the experience that you particularly appreciated?
One of the aspects I appreciated the most was the openness and willingness to engage shown by the researchers and academic staff. I found a highly collaborative environment where dialogue and the exchange of ideas were strongly encouraged. This made my visiting experience not only an opportunity for academic and professional growth, but also a genuinely enjoyable personal experience.
4. You also had the opportunity to present your research. Could you tell us about the project you shared and its main objectives?
During my visiting period, I presented my research project, outlining its objectives, the methodology adopted, and the results achieved so far. The presentation was an important opportunity to exchange ideas with scholars from different academic backgrounds, who provided valuable feedback and suggestions for further developing some aspects of my work. The main aim of the project is to contribute to advancing knowledge in my research field through a rigorous and interdisciplinary approach, with particular attention to the potential applications and impact of the findings.
