1. Could you briefly introduce yourself and describe your role at the University of Salerno?
My name is Eleonora Avallone. I work as an archivist at the Protocol and Archives Office of the University of Salerno. I am responsible for document management, overseeing document registration, archiving, and the organisation of administrative records, with the aim of ensuring an efficient document management system that complies with regulations and supports the University’s activities.
2. What were the main motivations that led you to take part in a mobility period at a university within the NEOLAiA Alliance?
The main motivation was the opportunity to compare my experience with that of other universities and to explore innovative approaches to document management. I saw the Erasmus mobility programme as an important opportunity for professional growth, the exchange of good practices, and personal development, as well as a chance to build relationships with colleagues from other countries.
3. What activities did you carry out during your mobility, at which Alliance university, and which aspects of the experience did you find most interesting or useful for your work?
I carried out my mobility period at the University of Nicosia (UNIC), Cyprus. During my stay, I had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the organisation of administrative services and the different approaches adopted in document management and records workflows. The comparison with different procedures, tools, and organisational models was particularly valuable, as it allowed me to acquire new perspectives and ideas that can also be applied to my own professional context.
4. How has this experience contributed to your professional and personal growth? Do you believe it has also had an impact on your daily work at the University of Salerno?
This experience represented an important opportunity for both professional and personal growth. From a professional perspective, it allowed me to expand my skills through the comparison with different practices and organisational models, strengthening my ability to analyse document management processes with a more open and improvement-oriented approach. On a personal level, I developed greater adaptability, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate in an international environment.
I believe that this experience has also had a positive impact on my daily work at the University of Salerno, enabling me to approach my activities with greater awareness of possible organisational solutions and of the importance of sharing experiences among institutions.

Yes, definitely. I would recommend this experience to all my colleagues because it represents a valuable opportunity for both professional and personal growth. Erasmus mobility allows participants to discover different realities, explore new working methods, share experiences, and acquire skills that can also be applied and further developed in their own professional context.
