Bootcamp at the University of Tours: towards the new Multiple Master’s Degree in “Artificial Intelligence & Social Robotics applied to Global Health”

On October 8–9, 2025, the University of Tours hosted – within the framework of Task 2.3 Designing and Piloting NEOLAiA Multiple and Joint Degrees – the Bootcamp dedicated to developing the new Multiple Master’s Degree in “Artificial Intelligence & Social Robotics Applied to Global Health”, a joint initiative involving the University of Tours, Örebro University, Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava, and the University of Jaén.
Over the two working days, academic and administrative representatives from the partner universities collaborated on defining the key components of the programme, which is expected to launch in the 2026/27 academic year. Discussions focused on topics such as governance structure, admission criteria, student assessment, and the overall organisation of the study programme. Particular emphasis was placed on quality assurance, syllabus design, and communication strategy, with the aim of highlighting the programme’s innovative and interdisciplinary character.
As the institution leading Task 2.3, the University of Salerno supervised the activities, providing strategic support and sharing best practices to ensure coherence and quality across the Task.
The Bootcamp concluded with the definition of the next steps, reaffirming the Alliance’s commitment to creating an interdisciplinary and international programme that bridges Artificial Intelligence, Social Robotics, and Global Health.
A productive meeting, rich in synergies and shared planning, marking an important step towards the creation of a truly unique Master’s Degree in the European landscape!
