On March 23, 2026, the webinar “How to Manage Interculturality in Your Class” was successfully held as part of the NEOLAiA T2.1 – Pedagogical Hub.
The event brought together academics from several partner universities, offering a multidisciplinary and international perspective on interculturality in higher education teaching. Through short and focused contributions, the three speakers:
- Prof. Bice Della Piana, Department of Business Sciences, Management & Innovation Systems (UNISA)
- Prof. Erika Marie Pace, Department of Human, Philosophical and Education Sciences (UNISA)
- Prof. Tatiana Buelvas, Department of Management and Communication (SVK)
explored several key aspects, including intersectionality and student identities, the role of teacher positionality in multicultural contexts, and the importance of experiential learning for the development of intercultural competence.
Particular attention was devoted to critical reflection on teaching practices, encouraging participants to reflect on their role and on how to create inclusive and collaborative learning environments. The webinar also highlighted practical strategies for managing intercultural classroom dynamics, promoting openness, empathy, and dialogue among students.
The event recorded strong engagement, particularly during the Q&A sessions and final reflection moments, confirming both the interest in and relevance of the topic within the NEOLAiA academic community.
