1. Could you briefly introduce yourself and describe your role at the University of Salerno?
My name is Roberto Napoli. Since 2006, I have worked in the Protocol and Archives Office at the University of Salerno, where I am responsible for document management and registration, as well as the organisation of administrative records through the Titulus97 document management system.
2. What were the main motivations that led you to take part in a mobility period at a university within the NEOLAiA Alliance?
My motivation for this experience was the opportunity to explore different university environments and learn about innovative approaches and methodologies related to my field of work.
Participating in the Neolaia mobility programme provides a valuable chance to develop professional relationships, share experiences and learn from colleagues in other countries. I believe that sharing different perspectives and practices can greatly benefit my professional development and improve my work.
3. What activities did you carry out during your mobility, at which Alliance university, and which aspects of the experience did you find most interesting or useful for your work?
My mobility experience at the University of Nicosia (UNIC) in Cyprus in July 2025 gave me the opportunity to discover different approaches to document management and administrative organisation.
The different procedures and organisational models that I observed provided me with valuable insights and encouraged me to consider new approaches that could be adapted to my own working environment. Reflecting on our current practices, I was able to identify possible new ways of improving the efficiency and organisation of document management in my workplace.
4. How has this experience contributed to your professional and personal growth? Do you believe it has also had an impact on your daily work at the University of Salerno?
From a professional perspective, this mobility experience broadened my skills and knowledge base through the comparison of different practices and organisational models.
It also helped me to develop strong comparative and analytical skills, enabling me to view my own work environment differently. This experience has had a positive impact on my daily work at the University of Salerno, as it has given me the opportunity to identify new organisational solutions and develop ideas to improve our working processes.
5. Would you recommend this experience to your colleagues? If so, why?
I highly recommend this experience because it can bring significant added value to the team we work with. It enables us to achieve our goals more efficiently, learn advanced processes and techniques, and become familiar with modern tools and technologies.
It also contributes to our professional growth by helping us to develop the necessary skills to manage larger projects, take on greater responsibilities and coordinate with others. Most importantly, experiences like this can boost job satisfaction and personal well-being, making our working lives more rewarding and fulfilling.
