In May 2024, the European alliance NEOLAiA took a significant step forward in promoting Open Science by launching two new websites dedicated to the dissemination of open research practices and data sharing:
- Open Science NEOLAiA: this website serves as an informative hub on open science practices adopted by NEOLAiA partner universities. Visitors can find guidelines, resources, updates and articles that highlight the alliance’s commitment to open practices.
- NEOLAiA Open Data: this platform is a dynamic repository of open datasets generated by NEOLAiA partners. The available datasets cover a wide area from information on European University Alliances and University Timelines, to datasets useful for interdisciplinary research projects, such as those on Degree Programs by year at NEOLAiA universities. The structure of the site allows users to freely explore and download data, fostering a more collaborative and transparent research model.
Toward a more open and connected research community
These initiatives are part of Work Package 8 – Adopting and Sustaining Open Science, which aims to promote a more transparent, accessible and collaborative academic ecosystem. In addition, they encourage the active participation of students, citizens and stakeholders in Open Science practices, reinforcing NEOLAiA’s vision of an open and inclusive scientific community.
