NEOLAiA Work Package 5: Increasing Regional Research Impact days

From November 26-28, 2024, the University of Tours hosted 30 partners from the NEOLAiA alliance for the Work Package 5 (WP5) event on Increasing Regional Research Impact. The event focused on mapping research synergies, launching a mentoring program, forming research support groups, and defining a shared research framework.

A key part of the event was a two-day seminar on HRS4R (Human Resources Strategy for Researchers) policies, aimed at helping NEOLAiA partners achieve the HR Excellence in Research Award. Experts from the European Commission presented the updated HRS4R policy framework.

Highlights included an opening session by Ludovic Thilly on the role of research in European university alliances, along with visits to research facilities at the University of Tours. The event concluded with the NEOLAiA Living Lab Hub seminar at MAME, showcasing collaborative research initiatives in health and environmental transition.

Örebro University leads WP5, while the University of Tours oversees key tasks, including establishing Expert Support Teams and advancing participatory research through the NEOLAiA Living Lab Hub. Event materials will soon be available on the NEOLAiA European University website.
