At the NEOLAiA plenary meeting held in Brussels in February 2024, a proposal emerged that would soon become one of the alliance’s strategic projects: the creation of an Open Research Hub.
The idea, discussed with all partners, stemmed from the need to showcase the expertise of researchers across the nine universities and make it more easily accessible. The goal was to design a centralised and open database capable of sparking new collaborations, increasing the visibility of research groups, and promoting a more European and integrated approach to academic research.
The Brussels meeting was thus the first step of a process that, in the next months, will engage all universities in sharing information about their departments and research areas, laying the foundations for the platform’s development.
