On 19 February, Dr Maria Rizzo, Head of the International Office at UNISA, sent us two files containing raw data on Erasmus+ students for the 2023/2024 academic year: one on outgoing mobility and the other on incoming mobility.
After getting the data, we started working on the two datasets. This involves cleaning, filtering and organising the information according to a shared template, common to all WP8 NEOLAiA partners, to make it easily accessible and consistent for subsequent analysis.
The datasets include detailed student information, such as their study programmes, destination or origin universities and countries, gender, study cycle, mobility periods and departments involved. These tools enable the monitoring of mobility flows, the observation of international trends, and the support of collaboration and exchange initiatives between NEOLAiA universities.
Collaborating with UNISA’s internationalisation office has been crucial in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the collected data.
