Joint Bachelor in Science, Management and Politics in Global Health to begin

Teaching activities for the new Joint Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Management and Politics in Global Health will officially begin on 12 October 2026. Coordinated by the University of Salerno, the international three-year degree programme has been developed within the NEOLAiA European University Alliance.

The programme will be launched simultaneously at the University of Salerno and the University of Nicosia in Cyprus. On the morning of 12 October, both universities will welcome the students who will be the first to embark on this innovative international academic journey.

Delivered entirely in English, the Joint Bachelor is the result of cooperation among the University of Salerno, the University of Nicosia, the University of Jaén and the Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences, which participates as a mobility partner.

The programme offers an interdisciplinary education combining expertise in cooperation and development, management, governance and public policy, data analysis, and intercultural and global communication. It also includes 1 year of integrated mobility, giving students the opportunity to study and gain experience in several European countries.

The beginning of teaching activities represents an important milestone for the University of Salerno and the entire NEOLAiA Alliance. The new programme is the outcome of several years of academic and administrative cooperation among the partner universities and introduces a European educational model based on internationalisation, mobility and the joint recognition of the awarded degree.

At the University of Salerno, the programme is led by the Department of Political and Social Studies (DISPS) and involves 6 departments, bringing together expertise from the social sciences, management, international law, statistics, computer science and health sciences.

Therefore, 12 October will mark not only the beginning of classes, but also the establishment of a new European academic community committed to educating professionals capable of understanding and addressing the complex challenges of global health.
