The University of Salerno, as leader of WP8, has recently drafted the Local Engagement Plan and Stakeholders (LEP), a fundamental strategic document for the NEOLAiA project partners. This tool has been shared with all partner universities, which are invited to fill it in individually to detail their Citizen Science activities and local contribution to the Open Science Hub.
The LEP is structured to allow partners to describe in a clear and organized way:
- The preliminary vision of their Hub, even in draft form, highlighting objectives, main themes and target groups;
- The detailed plan of activities, including workshops, open data laboratories, citizen science experiments and public events;
- The local stakeholders to be involved, including university departments, NGOs, public institutions, cultural and scientific associations, schools and citizen groups;
- The estimated budget and resources needed to carry out the activities;
- The monitoring and evaluation criteria, both quantitative and qualitative, to measure the impact of the initiatives.
Each local Hub will hold kick-off and closing events during the 2025–2026 academic year, with the active involvement of students, citizens and local communities. The aim is to ensure a participatory approach in line with NEOLAiA’s Open Science and Citizen Science principles, stimulating collaboration and innovation at a local level.
The LEP is therefore a key tool for coordinating the activities of the partners, providing a shared map of initiatives and ensuring that each Hub can contribute effectively to the overall objectives of the project.
