During the NEOLAiA living lab seminar organised by the University of Tours on 28 November, Decio Rinaldi presented Greenopoli, an environmental education project developed by Prof. Giovanni De Feo of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Salerno.
Primarily developed in the Campania region, Greenopoli aims to raise environmental awareness among children, young people and adults by simplifying complex concepts through dissemination and using an innovative communication method to convey easy-to-understand results and indicatorsA notable example is the ‘Sciacqua rap’ (Rinse, rinse, but use little water rap), which is an innovative and emotionally captivating way of conveying an important message. This method aroused the enthusiasm of all the NEOLAiA colleagues present at the seminar. Greenopoli covers topics related to climate change, sustainability, waste, water and other issues typically addressed in academic studies. It is also closely linked to the UNs sustainable development goals.
